About receiving the Iwate Nippo Cultural Award

Although the report was delayed a lot, on November 3rd, Iwate Nippo Co., Ltd. presented the Iwate Nippo Cultural Award and Physical Education Award to those who were active in various fields and contributed to the development of this prefecture, and praised their achievements. In recognition of the activities of Bergadia Kujirayama, we received the Cultural Award in the Social Division.

Regarding the place of “Wind Phone”, people in deep sorrow organize their thoughts that are confused by the dialogue of their hearts with themselves, and take the initiative to regain their original vitality. It is a therapy that people with grief perform on their own. Talking to oneself is a discovery of oneself, and the manifestation of self-consciousness in the form of words can connect the cut off thoughts. It may be possible to convince oneself to have the light of hope to be able to connect from sadness, suffering and despair, to be released from sadness and suffering, to feel healed, and to change consciousness.

In addition, the disaster area is now seeking a bright future image, and the bright future image begins with dreaming. In order to firmly envision what the future should be, we need something that can be a driving force, and music and other cultural and artistic activities have that power. And it is important to deliver it, and since it will be a long-term activity, it seems that music festivals including children entrusted with the future, storytelling sessions, “Forest Library” activities that collect children’s books, etc. were evaluated. am.

I think this award is for activities that include everyone who supports us. Therefore, the supplementary prize of 300,000 yen was donated in full to the areas affected by the Hokkaido earthquake. I would like to ask for your understanding.

Requiescats jazz performance on “Wind Phone”

Yesterday, October 20th, there was a Tohoku / Kumamoto Support Concert by Japanese-American jazz musician AKIRA TANA & OTONOWA at “Oshacchi” in Otsuchi-cho. After the end, there was a surprise and I wanted to play in front of the “Wind Phone” at Bell Gardia KUJIRAYAMA. In the evening, I was worried about the cold weather, but about 10 members from the United States and about 10 supporters from Tokyo came to Kujirayama and set up the musical instruments immediately. Jazz performance has begun. The unique sound of playing Japanese melody such as nursery rhymes, folk songs, and popular songs of the members in American jazz with a bold arrangement has been praised in Japan and the United States.

Unlike indoors, the sound was absorbed by the forest of Mt. Kujirayama, although it did not resonate, and it seemed to blend in naturally. It’s as if it reaches the people who visited the “Wind Phone”, the people who called it, and the people who died…

People on the walk and dogs listened quietly rather than standing. And in the distance, deer and foxes were singing.

Received the Tohoku Mirai Award for “Wind Phone” activities

On September 30th, the 7th Tohoku Mirai Creation Award Ceremony was held at Tono Mirai Creation College in Tono City.

Among the individuals and groups that have been rooted in the disaster area since the beginning of the Great East Japan Earthquake and have been continuously engaged in reconstruction activities and have achieved remarkable results, those who are active in the four fields of disaster prevention, education, media, and culture are eligible for the award. I have to.

I didn’t even know that there was this activity organization, and when I was contacted by the secretariat, I was confused. I think it is extremely important from the perspective of human resource development to support people who practice activities rooted in the community. ”When I saw this, this way of thinking is important for individual long-term activities. I was impressed when it came to.

Even so, I would like to thank you again for the fact that we can continue our activities for a long time only with the cooperation and support of everyone who supports “Wind Phone”.

As for the situation on the day, the video of the IBC Iwate Broadcasting “7th Tohoku Mirai Award” award ceremony and lecture is available on the web. The URL below. Please take a look.

Renewed the box of “Wind Phone”

On August 18, 12 junior and senior high school students from the disaster volunteer group “Pinocchio Club” in Joso City, Ibaraki Prefecture, came to Bell Gardia KUJIRAYAMA with Mr. Matsumura. In addition, adult volunteers who support children, the president and vice president of manufacturers. A total of 23 supporters gathered to launch a new box of “Wind Phone”.

We have already announced the history on our blog, but when the newspaper reported the danger of the collapse of the box of “Wind Phone” on March 28, about 25 information about the telephone box was gathered from Hokkaido to Kyushu. .. Much was information on wooden boxes. This time, I decided to decline because I wanted to make it made of aluminum in consideration of durability. There was information that it was an “aluminum box”, but it was a normal type found on street corners. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to decline the box of “Wind Phone” because the current shape is well established by everyone.

With the support of everyone, I decided to make the same type as the current type from aluminum, and when I got an estimate, I found that it exceeded 1 million yen, and when I called for support on my blog, fundraising began to gather from all over the country. At that time, President Kayahara of Akisei Sangyo Co., Ltd. in Chiba Prefecture offered to provide it free of charge, but it is appropriate that “Wind Phone” is made with the good intentions of many people. However, I don’t know how much money will be collected, so I have been working on the condition that I will support the shortfall.

Then, on the 18th, the new telephone booth was launched. The points of work were carried out by adult supporters Watanabe Komuten’s carpenter Watanabe and President Kayahara, and box transportation, paint repair, etc. were handled by junior and senior high school students of the Pinocchio Club. Recently, for children who have less chance to learn from their life experiences, it is a good opportunity to develop their ability to live, and I feel that it is a volunteer activity to practice the living education of Mr. Matsumura.

After the launch, a BBQ party. The children who had eaten only convenience store lunch boxes yesterday repeatedly said “good!” And “good!” And continued to eat until they were hungry. In the meantime, there was a chorus by all the children and a shakuhachi performance by my cousin, and all the participants were able to share a good time.

The above is the status of the launch of the new telephone box. By the time we started up, we were able to update it thanks to the support, cooperation, fundraising, etc. of many people. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Thank you. I pray that we will continue to be with you as a “place” for the liberation and healing of the hearts of people with grief around the world.

The blog report was sent today because the color of the roof and the color of the fascia are dark green, and the contrast with the white box skeleton color is too strong and I felt uncomfortable, so I repainted it. Also, it was late because I had the children weed the greenhouse and then cleaned it up. I would like all the people who have read the blog to come face-to-face with the new “Wind Phone”.

“Wind Phone” box rebuilding pre-construction

There is preparatory work for rebuilding the box of “Wind Phone”. The first is to secure a place and foundation for relocating the current Denwa Box. This was done by volunteers from Mr. Ozawa Block of local Kamaishi. On July 22nd, under the scorching sun, I and I carried the gravel and sand to the Kikki Forest, which is 50 meters away by a cat car, and arranged the blocks into a formwork, which was concreted and used as the foundation.

Secondly, we will be installing a new aluminum box in the place where the “Wind Phone” box is currently located, so we will have to set the actual item aside and do the foundation work. We asked Mr. Matsumura, an NPO Pinocchio Club in Joso City, Ibaraki Prefecture, who had previously repaired the actual product, and sent Mr. Watanabe Carpenter. On July 28, Mr. Watanabe and Mr. Koichi Takimoto, a fellow beekeeper from Hanamaki City, came with his father. (about 80 years old?)

Third, the current foundation that was removed must be widened to fit the new telephone box. It was scheduled for the 29th the next day, but it was canceled due to rain on that day. It was said that Mr. Ozawa Brock was going to see the interval between work, but the next day, on the 30th, the humidity was high after the rain and the heat was extremely hot, so he came at 9:30 in the morning. I made a formwork in advance, put it on the current foundation, laid a mesh (wire mesh), fixed it with anchor bolts, poured concrete, chamfered the corners and finished it carefully. I was told that my fingers couldn’t bend during work, so I think it was just before heat stroke. The temperature on that day was 32 degrees. The next day, I was worried and called, and when I heard from my wife that I went to work well, I was relieved to stroke my chest.

In this way, even if you take one pre-construction work, it is made possible by the cooperation of many people. Information provision, fund-raising cooperation, production cooperation, advance preparation, etc. regarding the new construction of the box of “Wind Phone”. And many people who are worried about what’s going on. With the support of many people, I think that “Wind Phone” will play its role (reproduced from the closeness of Grief).

On August 18th, we will launch a new box of “Wind Phone” from 10 am. After the launch, everyone will have a BBQ party in The Forest of Kikkii. We are looking forward to the participation of many people.
