There is preparatory work for rebuilding the box of “The Phone of the Wind”. The first is to secure a place and foundation for relocating the current Denwa Box. This was done by volunteers from Mr. Ozawa Block of local Kamaishi. On July 22nd, under the scorching sun, I and I carried the gravel and sand to the Kikki Forest, which is 50 meters away by a cat car, and arranged the blocks into a formwork, which was concreted and used as the foundation.
Secondly, we will be installing a new aluminum box in the place where the “The Phone of the Wind” box is currently located, so we will have to set the actual item aside and do the foundation work. We asked Mr. Matsumura, an NPO Pinocchio Club in Joso City, Ibaraki Prefecture, who had previously repaired the actual product, and sent Mr. Watanabe Carpenter. On July 28, Mr. Watanabe and Mr. Koichi Takimoto, a fellow beekeeper from Hanamaki City, came with his father. (about 80 years old?)
Third, the current foundation that was removed must be widened to fit the new telephone box. It was scheduled for the 29th the next day, but it was canceled due to rain on that day. It was said that Mr. Ozawa Brock was going to see the interval between work, but the next day, on the 30th, the humidity was high after the rain and the heat was extremely hot, so he came at 9:30 in the morning. I made a formwork in advance, put it on the current foundation, laid a mesh (wire mesh), fixed it with anchor bolts, poured concrete, chamfered the corners and finished it carefully. I was told that my fingers couldn’t bend during work, so I think it was just before heat stroke. The temperature on that day was 32 degrees. The next day, I was worried and called, and when I heard from my wife that I went to work well, I was relieved to stroke my chest.
In this way, even if you take one pre-construction work, it is made possible by the cooperation of many people. Information provision, fund-raising cooperation, production cooperation, advance preparation, etc. regarding the new construction of the box of “The Phone of the Wind”.
