At 2:00 pm on May 20, “Amazing Grace” by violin solo was played on the scented wind against the background of “The Phone of the Wind”.
The player was Mr. Katsumi Matsumoto, a popular player of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. It was the first time I met him at a lecture held in Shizuoka on February 25th and then at a violin concert.
After the event was over, a social gathering was held by the Shizuoka Volunteer Association. It was to visit and play “The Phone of the Wind” that I promised to get rid of alcohol. Since he is a very busy player, I thought it was “no way”, but this time I was able to realize it with the help of Mr. Tsuyoshi Konno, the representative of “Love and Human Concert Committee”. Thank you to Mr. Matsumoto, Mr. Konno, and everyone else involved.
In addition, there are two outdoor performances, “This road I came someday”, then Elgar’s “Love’s Greeting” at “The Library of the Forest”, “Liebesfreud” and “Liebesleid” by Kreisler, “Humoresque”by Dvorak, and “Ave Maria” by Schubert, etc.
